FIAT 500C - by the time when the number of sold "five hundredths" in a closed hatchback was approaching half a million, the company decided to release a version with a removable top.

Considering that the usual FIAT 500 received a “make-up” in the spirit of the original model of the 50s of the last century, then the Italians decided to do the “hairstyle” for the open version in retro style. Presented in the spring of 2009 at the Geneva Motor Show FIAT 500C, like the “five hundredth” model of 1957, received a removable roof made of soft material.

It is noteworthy that if earlier the owners of the Cinquecento (Italian. cinque cento - “five hundred”) in order to ride with the breeze, one had to show remarkable skill, now a servo is responsible for removing the roof: to lower and raise the top, just press the button located above the windshield. The company has provided many options for the individualization of the FIAT 500C. It is noteworthy that the roof is no exception: the buyer is free to choose from three colors (burgundy, beige and black).

Already in the “base”, the convertible is equipped with anti-lock brakes, brake force distribution, as well as front, side and curtain airbags.

The range of power plants includes two modifications of the 1.3-liter MultiJet turbodiesel (75 hp, 145 Nm and 95 hp, 200 Nm) and three gasoline engines:

• four-cylinder “eight-valve” with a volume of 1.2 liters (69 hp, 102 Nm);

• two-cylinder "turbo" with a volume of 0.9 liters (85 hp, 145 Nm);

• sixteen-valve "four" with a volume of 1.4 liters (100 hp, 131 Nm).

All petrol engines are offered with both manual and robotic gearboxes. Diesel modifications are aggregated exclusively by "mechanics".

FIAT 500C is produced in Poland.
